The future of robotics and automation is diverse.
We are building it.

π—ͺ𝗢π—₯𝗔 π——π—ž is a registered non-profit organization and professional community for women and allies in robotics and automation across industry and research in Denmark.

We are engineers, researchers, students, innovators, and allies – united by a shared belief that robotics and automation is stronger, more innovative, and more impactful when it reflects the full diversity of the people who build it.

WiRA DK was founded in 2026 by two women working in robotics and automation in Denmark – born from a simple but powerful observation: that professionals in this field rarely had a dedicated space to find each other, connect, and grow together. So, we decided to build one. Today, WiRA DK is a growing community of women and allies across industry and research – connecting over events, meetups, and online – and it is only just beginning.

Our Story

It started with a feeling.

The feeling of walking into professional spaces and not finding your people. Of looking around a room full of engineers and wondering where the other women were. Of mentoring programs and networking events where robotics and automation – and the incredible professionals working in it – were simply not represented.

We did not want to wait for that space to appear. So, we built it ourselves.

WiRA DK started as a LinkedIn community and a conversation between two co-founders who believed that connection, visibility, and community could genuinely change this field. Within weeks, the response was overwhelming – professionals, students, researchers, and allies from across Denmark and beyond reaching out saying:

“Finally. A space for us.”

That was all the confirmation we needed.
